Mini Recreation Grant Program

Does your community have a need to enhance its environments to welcome more movement for community members!? We can provide community organizations funding in the range of $800 – $1000 for a limited number of initiatives. Antigonish County Recreation is inviting community organizations / groups to apply for the 2024-2025 Mini Recreation Grant opportunity supported by the provincial Active Communities Fund.

Applications are due by 12:00pm noon on Thursday, February 20th, 2025.

8 Class Session Start Dates:

  • February 5, 2025 | Wednesdays | 3pm – 5pm
  • February 7, 2025 | Fridays | 3pm – 5pm
  • February 8, 2025 | Saturdays | 8:55am – 1pm

Learn to Swim Program Returns!

Antigonish County Recreation is excited to announce the return of our Learn to Swim program!

It has been over four years since we’ve been able to offer a consistent community swim program in Antigonish due to COVID-19 and construction.

We want to hear from you!

Please take our survey to let us know your child’s swimming ability and enter to win one of four free swim sessions. Your responses will greatly assist us in planning for the return of lessons.
