Summer Camps 2024
Camp is an exciting time for a child! A time for fun, friendships, special activities and songs. At Antigonish County Recreation Day Camps, all children are treated with respect, allowed to be who they are, engaged to discover new strengths and skills and encouraged to think about the local and broader world around them.
Your child’s safety and well being are important to us. Antigonish County Recreation’s core values of honesty, caring, respect, responsibility and inclusiveness will guide every aspect of our programming and our interaction with staff, parents and children. We have planned a great summer experience for your child(ren)–get ready for some fun!

Fun on the Run
Ages 4-12
This action-packed camp offers a variety of activities including exciting games, creative and outdoor play, art, singing and science experiments! This camp typically takes place one week in each community.
Location: Varies by schedule
Time: 8:45am – 4:00pm
Cost: $90 / week

- Mini Trail Community Centre: July 15-18 (Monday- Thursday)
- Heatherton Community Centre: July 8-11 (Monday- Thursday)
- Arisaig Community Centre: July 2- 5 (Tuesday- Friday)
- East Antigonish Education Centre: July 22-25 (Monday – Friday)
- St. Josephs Community Centre: July 22 – 25 (Monday- Thursday)
- St. Andrew’s Community Centre: August 12-15 (Monday- Thursday)
- St. Andrew Junior School: August 6-9 (Tuesday – Friday)
Movin’ and Groovin’
Ages 3-6
Movin’ and Groovin is a camp for making friends and having fun, while learning the basic fundamental skills for movement.
Location: St Andrew Junior School
Time: 8:30am – 11:30am & 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Cost: $55 / week

Go! Back to Nature
Ages 5-7 & Ages 8+
GO! Back to Nature is a camp for those who love being outdoors. This camp incorporates teamwork and respect for each other and the environment.
Location: Lochaber Community Centre
Time: 8:45am – 4:00pm
Cost: $90 / week

Schedule Age 8+:
- July 15- 18 (Monday- Thursday)
Kidventure
Ages 5-7
KidVenture is designed for young school-aged children that want a fun-filled day of camp! Activities include: sports on the playing field, outdoor adventures, art fun, imaginative play, stories and songs.
Location: St Andrew Junior School
Time: 8:45am – 4:00pm
Cost: $90 / week

Beach Buddies
Ages 4-12
Spend a fun week at Pomquet Beach with your friends! Don’t forget to pack your sunscreen and water!
Location: Pomquet Beach
Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm
