Learn to Swim Program Returns!

Antigonish County Recreation is excited to announce the return of our Learn to Swim program!

It has been over four years since we’ve been able to offer a consistent community swim program in Antigonish due to COVID-19 and construction.

We want to hear from you!

Please take our survey to let us know your child’s swimming ability and enter to win one of four free swim sessions. Your responses will greatly assist us in planning for the return of lessons.

Here are the steps we are taking to ensure the program meets the needs of our community

• We are hiring and training new swim instructors – if interested in becoming a swim instructor please contact amyleigh.george@antigonishcounty.ca
• We are opening a survey to gather feedback on your child’s swimming ability. Survey will remain open until October 4th.
• When swim registration opens it will be on Sport Hub, please ensure you have a Sport Hub account. Visit mysporthub.ca to create one.
• We will be offering free evaluation sessions to assess swim abilities to help you enroll your child in the proper level. – Register for a free time slot to have your child’s swimming abilities assessed by a swim instructor. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and Website for details to come.
• We plan to offer an 8-week swim starting in November. Registration for lessons will be open late October.
